Phil was a member of the Validation Committee for
a new BA degree Course in Scottish music.

| Occasional workshops in conjunction with ‘Celtic Connections’
Festival. |
| Phil taught both Studio and Production practise on the first
Fast-Track Course in 1996. In 2000 he added Televsion Music
to the framework of Fast Track 2. Many of the students on
these courses went on to highly succesful music careers. |
| Phil enjoys involvement in a range of work with schools, from
workshops to recording practice. He works annually with Feis
Ros as groupwork tutor at their Adult Feis in Ullapool, and
also at individual junior Feis workshops. The Feisan Movement
has seen a quantum leap in the number of youngsters in Scotland
learning to play an instrument. |
Phil acted as Chairman of this new Highland organisation,
set up in Inverness in 1998 to assist musicians across the
board and to address the needs of The Highland Music Industry.
